This is a strange story of a leftist intellectual in contemporary history. He fights all his life for equality and justice, his land and people, he creates the best novels, stories, and various works of art, he goes through prison, torture, and exile and finally, he is killed or dies in suffering and illness and with all this Rejected from the society, he is introduced as the culprit of all the failures, while in his society, no sign of the ideals for which he sacrificed his life can be seen. Yusuf Atilgan is one of those intellectuals who endured thirty years of exile and torture and wrote two masterpiece novels and more than 20 short stories, and because he was a Marxist, he did not have the opportunity to create more works under the totalitarian rule of Turkey. The book "The Stray Man" is the first novel of Atilgan and one of the leaders and representatives of modern fiction in Turkey and the beginning of the national and world fame of this modern and Marxist Turkish writer. The story of a tired, rebellious man, separated from friends and acquaintances, like all intellectuals condemned to live in suffocation and take refuge in cinema. Wandering, which has a new and special meaning in modern metropolises, is one of the elements of human urban life that keeps him alive and on his feet in the hustle and bustle of life full of suffering in the city.
