A poetic and symbolic picture book about the arrival of spring and the rebirth of nature. The story follows Mother Spring, who on the last day of winter sets out on a journey through a frozen landscape to awaken nature before Nowruz. Along the way, she encounters the various elements of nature — a spring, a flowering meadow, and a small bird — all of which contribute to the transformation from winter to spring. When Mother Spring is finally rescued by the villagers and spring returns, a child is born and named Spring, tying together the story's cyclical theme. The text is understated and poetic, with touches of magical realism, where nature is personified and interacts with humanity. The illustrations carry much of the story and enhance the atmosphere of cold, movement, and gradual renewal. A quiet, visually driven tale about hope, care, and the cycle of the seasons, suitable for children from age 6.
