Ṭarḥ-hā va noqūsh-e lebās-hā va bāfteh-hā-ye Sāsānī Persiska (Farsi) 2026

Chapter One provides a brief overview of the history of Iranian weaving from its beginnings to the end of the Sasanian period. Chapter Two introduces the rock reliefs of Taq-e Bostan and discusses their importance for identifying and understanding Sasanian textile motifs and designs. Chapter Three brings together representations of Sasanian textile patterns and motifs found in wall paintings from Transoxiana. Chapter Four presents and classifies Sasanian textiles according to their motifs.

Chapter Five addresses the following topics: the reasons and motivations for selecting the Taq-e Bostan reliefs for reconstruction; the colors favored by Iranians from early periods through the Sasanian era; the identification and classification of Sasanian colors; the selection of colors and reconstruction methods; and the presentation of reconstructed samples.
