Insān-i Munqasam: Barzakh bih Lāḥāẓ-i Rāvan-kāwī Persiska (Farsi) 2025

This book, like the other works by authors aligned with Freudian–Lacanian perspectives, maintains a critical stance toward the myth of the “perfect human” while addressing the liminal nature of human existence—the rift and division inherent to human being. It then scrutinizes positions in ego psychology and self-psychology to reveal the fragile and dogmatic foundations of these approaches in light of humanity’s divided nature. The authors, who view psychic difficulties as stemming from the individual’s concealment of and escape from their inner liminality, demonstrate how projecting imaginary shadows onto the human psyche generates suffering and psychic pain. Subsequently, they provide the necessary foundations for understanding the phenomenon of the “double” (doppelgänger) and examine the rituals of the “People of the Air” in southern Iran. The final section is devoted to myths as one of the most prominent manifestations of human liminality, exploring the relation of humans to “fate” and destiny.
