Az Kirāmāt-i Shaykh-i Mā: Abūsaʿīd Abū al-Khayr va Masʾalah-i Kirāmat Persiska (Farsi) 2026

This book is intended for anyone interested in Persian literature, Sufism, biographical anthologies (tazkirahs), Abu Sa'id Abu'l-Khayr, miracles and saintly wonders (karāmāt), and, more broadly, extraordinary and supernatural narratives. It may appeal equally to those who approach such stories with belief or skepticism, whether as researchers or simply as curious and enthusiastic readers.

Regarding the approach adopted in writing the book, the author explains:

“In studying karāmāt (saintly miracles), I have taken an interdisciplinary approach. Whenever I found that a particular theory, perspective, or piece of research could help clarify my argument, I pursued it. Accordingly, depending on the subject at hand, I have drawn on theories and insights from the philosophy of religion, anthropology and sociology of religion, epistemology, and psychology. Naturally, I am not a specialist in all of these fields, nor do I claim to have consulted every possible source or to have said everything that could be said about karāmāt. Rather, as someone trained in literature, I have attempted, to the best of my ability, to examine accounts of saintly miracles from a variety of perspectives. My hope is that the results will be useful not only to specialists in Persian literature and the humanities, but also to a wider readership.”
