Cultural Identity and Kurdish Cinema is a careful look at the flow of Kurdish cinema from its initial formation to its current growth. Dr. Khosrow Sina has tried to analyze the social and political contexts that influenced the creation of this cinema, with an expert eye, to analyze the content of the works of Kurdish filmmakers who have helped in the formation and expansion of this cinema in different countries. هویت فرهنگی و سینمای کرد نگاهی است موشکافانه به جریان سینمای کرد از شکل‌گیری اولیه‌اش تا بالندگی امروزش. دکتر خسرو سینا تلاش کرده است ضمن بررسی زمینه‌های اجتماعی و سیاسی اثرگذار در پیدایی این سینما، با نگاهی کارشناسانه به تحلیل محتوایی آثار فیلم‌سازان کردی بپردازد که در کشورهای مختلف به شکل‌گیری و گسترش این سینما کمک کرده‌اند. او به مدد این مطالعه تلاش کرده است با نگاه دقیق به فیلم‌های متعددی که توسط کارگردانان کرد و درباره‌ی کردها ساخته شده‌اند، به چگونگی برساخت هویت کردها به واسطه‌ی بیان سینمایی در فیلم‌های شاخص این جریان دست یابد. این اثر، منبع سودمندی است برای محققان و دانش‌جویان سینما، مطالعات رسانه، ارتباطات، جامعه‌شناسی، مردم‌شناسی، مطالعات فرهنگی و همه‌ی علاقمندان به فرهنگ و مردم کرد.
