Cultural Identity and Kurdish Cinema is a careful look at the flow of Kurdish cinema from its initial formation to its current growth. Dr. Khosrow Sina has tried to analyze the social and political contexts that influenced the creation of this cinema, with an expert eye, to analyze the content of the works of Kurdish filmmakers who have helped in the formation and expansion of this cinema in different countries. With the help of this study, he has tried to find out how the Kurds' identity is constructed through the cinematic expression in the prominent films of this movement, by looking closely at several films made by Kurdish directors and about Kurds. This work is a useful resource for researchers and students of cinema, media studies, communication, sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, and all those interested in Kurdish culture and people.
