Mohammad Abed Jabri (born December 27, 1936 in Morocco - May 3, 2010) was a professor of Arabic-Islamic philosophy and thought at the Faculty of Literature in Rabat and one of the contemporary intellectuals of the Arab world. He was born in 1936 and received a diploma of higher studies in philosophy in 1967 and then a doctorate in philosophy of government in 1970 from Rabat Faculty of Literature. One of his research programs, which has led to the publication of four volumes of books, is criticism of the Arabic intellect. He believes that the criticism of Arab reason can prepare the ground for a scientific and informed reading of the heritage. Jabri considers the Arabic intellect to be the result of a culture that is based on three cognitive systems: the Arabic language system or expression; The Iranian Gnostic system, Hermesis, or mysticism, and the Greek rational system, or argument.
