Javidan Khirad (Eternal Wisdom) by Abu ʿAli Miskawayh is one of the most significant ethical treatises of the Islamic era. Composed in the 10th century CE, the book compiles moral and philosophical sayings from Persian, Indian, Roman, Arab, and Islamic sages. Miskawayh recounts discovering a manuscript of ancient Iranian counsel among Zoroastrian priests and expands it with wisdom from other traditions. Unlike his other work Tahdhīb al-Akhlāq, which draws on Greek practical philosophy, Javidan Khirad is rooted in Eastern ethical heritage and resembles classical Persian andarz literature in tone and structure.

کتاب «جاویدان خرد» اثر ابوعلی مسکویه رازی، یکی از برجسته‌ترین اندرزنامه‌های دوره اسلامی است که در آن مجموعه‌ای از سخنان حکمت‌آمیز از تمدن‌های ایران، هند، روم، عرب و اندیشمندان اسلامی گردآوری شده است. مسکویه در مقدمهٔ کتاب اشاره می‌کند که نسخه‌ای از این اثر را نزد موبدان فارس یافته و با افزودن گفتارهایی از فرزانگان دیگر، آن را تدوین کرده است. این کتاب برخلاف «تهذیب الاخلاق» که به حکمت عملی یونانی می‌پردازد، بیشتر بر سنت‌های اخلاقی شرقی و ایرانی تکیه دارد و از نظر سبک و محتوا، به اندرزنامه‌های باستانی نزدیک است.
