1. General
Ferdosi sells books in various formats online to customers globally. Customers can either be individuals over the age of 18 ("Private Customer") or businesses, organizations, or public entities ("Company/Library Customer"). Sales are conducted via the website www.ferdosi.com, mobile applications, or individual agreements.
By placing an order, creating an account, or entering into an agreement with Ferdosi, the Customer accepts these Terms and Conditions. Ferdosi reserves the right to correct any errors in product descriptions or other website content.
2. Prices and Fees
Applicable product prices including VAT are displayed at the time of order. Ferdosi reserves the right to change prices without prior notice.
- Private Customers within the EU are charged Swedish VAT.
- Prices of some of the titles for private customers are discounted for fewer services.
- Private Customers outside the EU are not charged Swedish VAT.
- Library/Company Customers within the EU are charged VAT unless a valid VAT registration number is provided.
- Library/Company Customers outside the EU are not charged Swedish VAT if a VAT number is supplied.
3. Shipping Fees
Within Sweden: Current shipping fees are stated on the website.
Outside Sweden: Shipping fees are added based on Ferdosi's actual shipping and customs costs. Fees apply per physical shipment.
4. Ordering
Orders are placed via the website or app unless otherwise agreed. A binding agreement is formed when Ferdosi sends an order confirmation via email.
Customers may cancel their order before it has been processed (i.e., shipped or marked as ready for pickup). Customers are responsible for checking their email.
5. Account
Customers who create an account gain access to services such as order history and notifications.
Required information includes:
- Full name
- Organization number (for Company/Library Customers)
- Email and postal address
- VAT registration number (for VAT-exempt Company/Library Customers within the EU)
Customers are responsible for the accuracy of the information and for keeping login credentials secure.
6. Payment
6.1 Private Customers – Physical Books
Payment is processed via Worldline Checkout. By completing a purchase, the Customer accepts both Ferdosi's and Worldline SA’s terms.
6.2 Private Customers – Digital Products
Payment is made by card through Nets. The amount is reserved upon purchase and charged only upon delivery.
6.3 Library/Company Customers
Company/Library Customers can pay by invoice, e-invoice and card (via Worldline). For customers outside Sweden, only card payment is accepted.
7. Delivery
Delivery is made through the shipping method selected at checkout.
- Delivery times depend on origin and availability:
1. From Sweden: approx. 2–3 business days.
2. From Europe: up to 2 weeks.
3. From Africa and some countries like Afghanistan: 4–9 weeks, with higher shipping costs.
4. From the rest of the world: 2–9 weeks, with higher shipping costs.
5. Books in stock: dispatched the same day or within 24–48 hours. If additional services are requested (i.e., lamination service), it will take 1-2 weeks.
6. Pre-orders and special titles: approx. 3 days within Sweden.
7. Ordered from publishers: varies depending on country of publication.
8. E-books and audiobooks: delivered immediately upon order.
- Shipping and collection: Ferdosi cooperates with DHL, PostNord and DHL Express. Customers in Stockholm may choose in-store pickup.
- Dropshipping: For items supplied directly by publishers, orders may be fulfilled by the relevant publisher. Where orders involve multiple publishers, Ferdosi may consolidate shipments in Stockholm before delivery.
- Delays are notified via email. Customers may cancel orders before processing.
- Uncollected or misaddressed shipments may incur additional fees for shipping and handling.
- Risk transfers to the Customer upon delivery. For returns, the Customer bears the risk until the goods are received and registered by Ferdosi.
8. Digital Books – Devices and Use
Internet-connected devices are required to access digital books. Digital content is for personal use only and may not be copied, redistributed, resold, or technically modified (including reverse engineering).
9. Right of Withdrawal
Private Customers (and Company/Library Customers where agreed) have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the product, in accordance with the Swedish Distance Contracts Act.

or via the official form from the Swedish Consumer Agency.
Returned items must be sent back within 14 days of the withdrawal notice. Ferdosi will refund the purchase amount once the return is received, subject to the conditions below:
- Books in stock in Stockholm: The customer is responsible for standard shipping costs, including return shipping. Ferdosi will refund the book price only (excluding express shipping or any additional fees).
- Books printed abroad: The customer is responsible for return shipping, 20% of the postal cost, and 50% of the book price. This corresponds to approx. 70% of the total order value (book price + shipping), due to high international production and shipping costs.
*Refunds may be withheld until the return has been received.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Sealed audio/video products if the seal is broken
- Downloadable digital content where download has already started
10. Complaints
Faulty, damaged, misprinted, or missing products must be reported within a reasonable time, and no later than 3 years from delivery.
For companies, B2B customers, and libraries, the claim period is 1 year.

For valid complaints, the Customer is entitled to:
1. Replacement with a fault-free item
2. Price reduction
3. Cancellation and refund
4. For e-books, replacement will be offered first.
*Ferdosi follows recommendations from the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN).
11. Intellectual Property Rights
All digital products are protected by copyright. Customers may not copy, distribute, or otherwise use the products beyond what is expressly permitted. Watermarking may be used for tracking unauthorized use.
12. Limitation of Liability
Ferdosi is liable only according to these Terms and applicable consumer law. Ferdosi is not liable for indirect damages, external content linked on the website, technical issues, unauthorized access, or criminal use of the services.
Ferdosi's liability will never exceed the amount paid by the Customer for the order in question, unless intent or gross negligence is proven.
13. Amendments to the Terms
Ferdosi reserves the right to update these Terms. Any changes do not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
14. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled in Swedish courts.
Private Customers may also contact the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), whose recommendations Ferdosi follows.
