Fatima Sharaf El-Din is a writer, editor, and translator specializing in children's and young adult literature. She works with several publishing houses in Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Belgium. She has published more than 150 books to date, many of which have been translated into various languages. She has won several Arab and international awards and honors, most recently being shortlisted for the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2022. Her novel "Faten" in Italian won the 2022 Gramsci Prize, her novel "Cappuccino" won the Etisalat Award for Young Adult Book of the Year in 2017, and her book "Your Tongue Is Your Horse" won the Bologna Ragazzi New Horizon Award in 2016. She teaches creative writing workshops in Lebanon and the Arab world, helps aspiring writers edit and publish their texts, and participates in several international book fairs and conferences. She won the fifth international comics competition "Let's Comic" in Beirut in 2012.
