Photographers are always there; behind the camera, ready to capture a moment that others are surely unaware of, otherwise they would also be holding a camera. But what if someone wanted to capture this photographer with a camera in hand at the very moment of taking the photo? This is what Peyman Hoshmandzadeh (photographer and writer) did in Eye Style; a portrait of Bahman Jalali (1955-2009) who spent forty years photographing, forty years seeing people and their worlds, and adding something to the world of photography with his photographs. Eye Style is a portrait in a creative way that simultaneously links together calendars and scattered memories; it draws on photographs, documents, and Jalali’s statements in various interviews, and summons those things that have not been mentioned in any interview, those distant and friendly moments through the memories of the author/narrator; A person with a neat appearance, a first-rate photographer who was both simple and sophisticated, a competent cook with two yellow and red aprons, and an immense passion for cooking, living, watching the lives of others, and taking pictures.

عکاس ها همیشه آن طرف اند؛ پشت دوربین آماده ی ثبت لحظه ای که حتماً دیگران از آن غافل اند و گرنه آنها هم دوربین به دست می گرفتند. اما چه می شود اگر کسی بخواهد این عکاس دوربین به دست را درست در لحظه ی ثبتِ عکس ثبت کند؟ این کاری است که پیمان هوشمندزاده (عکاس و نویسنده) در شیوه ی چشم کرده؛ پرتره ای از بهمن جلالی (1388 - 1323) که چهل سال عکاسی ،کرد چهل سال آدم ها و دنیاهایشان را دید و با عکس هایش چیزی به دنیای عکاسی اضافه کرد. شیوه ی چشم پرتره ای است به شیوه ی خلاق که هم زمان تقویم و خاطرات پراکنده را به هم پیوند می زند؛ از عکس ها و سندها و گفته های جلالی در مصاحبه های مختلف کمک میگیرد و آن چیزهایی را که در هیچ مصاحبه ای نیامده، آن لحظه های دور از چشم و دوستانه را از خلال خاطرات نویسنده / راوی احضار میکند؛ آدمی با سر و وضع همیشه ،مرتب، عکاس درجه یکی که در عین ساده و روان بودن پیچیده هم بود آشپزی قابل با دو تا پیش بند آشپزی زرد و قرمز و علاقه ی بی حدی به غذا پختن و زندگی کردن و زندگی دیگران را تماشا کردن و عکس گرفتن.
