Shāhrukh Miskub (Nāmīrāyān 1): Persian 1403

This book is a written portrait of one of the most important intellectuals of contemporary Iran. Shahrukh Moskob (1304-1384) took the path of religion in his youth, but very soon he fell into politics and joined the Tudeh party. As a result of his diligent and faithful activities in this party, he was imprisoned for several years; But little by little, the Tudeh party's intellectual watershed became authoritarian in his opinion and he cut it off. This became an opportunity to deal with his heart's interest, literature and mythology. He took up the pen and wrote essays about the Shahnameh and other ancient literary texts, and gave a new reading of them that did not please the people. Both the form of his writings and the themes he addressed were new. It gradually became known and official in intellectual circles and became the source of developments. He avoided politics and avoided the edges of literary circles. He translated some plays from ancient Greece into Persian and started new discussions about them. After the revolution, he saw no choice but to emigrate. In Paris, due to financial constraints, he turned to a job that did not have a direction. And finally, leukemia killed him. The present portrait - the result of referring to numerous sources and talking to Moskob's relatives - is a portrait of someone who was not like anyone else.
