This book is the product of expansion and fundamental revisions of the author's book "Child Abuse in Iran, " published eight years ago. The book "Child Abuse in Iran" examined this issue from different personal, legal, and social angles. The author of this book says about it: "Regarding my new studies on child abuse in Iran, I have given up on reprinting the previous book, I decided to separate its legal and social parts and add the results of new studies to it." According to him, this book is based on a more general and up-to-date view of non-legal aspects of violence against children. The legal aspects of this issue have also been reviewed in the form of criticism of Iran's legal system in the book "Pathology of Children's Rights in Iran", which is in the first stages of publication. A member of the Iranian Sociological Association mentioned that the book "Violence Against Children" book shows the situation of children in Iran, what kind of violence there is against them, and to what extent this violence is applied to them. Also, the consequences and effects of this violence, the factors of violence, and their characteristics are examined in the book. Solutions have also been provided to control this violence. Madani said about the situation of violence against children in Iran compared to other countries: not all cases of this violence are recorded in our country, so there are no comprehensive statistics in this field so that we can compare our situation with other countries.
