"Cognitive sociology" is a new branch of sociological knowledge that has been proposed in the last hundred and fifty years, first in France and Germany and then in other countries in the works of great thinkers such as "Jerusalem", "Durkheim", "Scheler" and "Mannheim". and it has been taken into consideration, but this does not mean that the relationship between society and human thought has been neglected by thinkers and philosophers. The late Manouchehr Ashtiani was an exponent of the nascent science of sociology of cognition in Iran, and several works in this field have been published by him. In his latest work, "Introduction to the History of the Sociology of Cognition", he followed the process of reflection on the dialectical relationship between "being and thought" from the first beginnings of the history of human thought from ancient Greece and Iran to modern philosophy and this relationship in the thought of contemporary thinkers. From Bacon, Descartes and Comte to Marx, Hegel, Scheler, Durkheim and others.
