جوزف هنری دیلینی (Joseph Henry Delaney) (زاده 25 ژوئیه 1945) نویسنده انگلیسی است که به خاطر سریال های تخیلی تاریکی Spook شناخته شده است. جوزف هنری دیلینی در سال 1945 در پرستون، لنکشایر متولد شد. وی در کالج کاتولیک پرستون شرکت کرد و سپس به عنوان مهندس کارآموز و مهندس کار کرد. وی قبل از شروع دوره تحصیلات خود در دانشگاه Lancaster (دانشگاه لنکستر) در سال 1972 در مقطع سطح A تحصیل کرد. پس از فارغ التحصیلی وی سرانجام به عنوان معلم انگلیسی در کالج فرم ششم بلکپول، جایی که به راه اندازی بخش مطالعات رسانه و فیلم کمک کرد، مشغول به کار شد.
