'ahd-i Ardashīr (Andarznāmah-yi Ardashīr-i Bābakān): Persian 1402

Ehsan Rashid Abbas (December 2, 1920 - January 29, 2003) was a writer, historian, researcher, critic and professor at the Palestinian-Jordanian University. He studied in his hometown Ain Ghazal village, Haifa, and Acre. Then he continued his studies at Quds Arabic College. He graduated from Cairo University Faculty of Literature in 1949. Then he got his doctorate in 1954. He was also a professor at the University of Khartoum (1951-1961) and the American University of Beirut (1961-1987). In 1987, he moved to Jordan and worked on the commission to write the history of the Levant at the University of Jordan. He died in Amman and was buried there. He saved his library, which included a total of 8300 books. He donated some of them to the University of Jordan, Philadelphia University in Amman, and other places.
