Ciconia Ciconia is the Latin name for the white stork, the heroine of the story in this author's picture book. Rod's home was in Croatia, a beautiful country, in a small village surrounded by sunflowers. As she lived close to the school, she enjoyed the murmur of children while learning with them about the beauty of the country where she lives. War suddenly started and the stork had to leave their home. She set out on a long journey unsuccessfully looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to live. When she was already very tired and completely lost hope that she would ever settle down in one place, she accidentally entered an internet club, saw her picture on "television" and discovered the way to her old home, the village of Čigoč. At the end of the picture book, children can read interesting information about storks, their habitat and life, the village of Čigoč - the first European stork village where there are more storks than inhabitants, as well as other interesting facts about Lonjsko polje - a nature park and habitat for numerous bird species.
