Hassan Sobhani, doctorate in economic sciences, full professor of economics at Tehran University and representative of the fifth, sixth and seventh periods of the Islamic Council. He is known as the most active representative of Majlis after the revolution. He was one of the registered candidates for the 12th presidential election. Sobhani was born in 1332 in Damghan city. His father was a simple worker. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown. After that, he went to a preparatory school to help support his family. Sobhani was the first student during all his years of education, including his studies in Daneshsara. This caused him to teach in city schools instead of becoming a village teacher after completing the course. He was 18 years old at this time. In 1353, he started his academic studies at the National University in the field of economics and in 1358 he graduated from the undergraduate course. He started his master's degree in Tarbiat Modares University in 1961 and finished it in 1965. After that, after transferring from the Ministry of Education, he started teaching at Tehran University's Faculty of Economics. Sobhani was admitted to the foreign exchange in 1367, but he changed it to the domestic exchange with the argument that the children of the revolution should study inside. He completed his doctorate in the same bachelor's field at Tehran University and finished it in 1971 with a thesis entitled "Islamic Economic System". During this period, he was responsible for various responsibilities. Sobhani is known as the first graduate of economics doctorate in Iranian universities after the revolution. Sobhani was promoted to the rank of assistant professor in 1971, to the rank of assistant professor in 1982, and to the rank of professor of economics in 1991 at Tehran University. He continues his scientific and research activities as a professor of all economics, as the director of the Department of Islamic, Monetary and Financial Economics of Tehran University.
