The book in front of you is the fourth book of the "Iranian Land History Collection" which introduces the history, culture, and civilization of Iran during the 428-year period of Sassanid rule. In the first chapters of this book, you will read the adventurous history of a hardworking and warrior nation, who, under the command of the Sassanid kings, threw their claws into the claws of the powerful governments of the ancient world, threw down the two Roman emperors who had attacked the soil of Iranshahr with great pride, and became the first nation in the world. They were the ancients who captured a Roman emperor alive and bravely defended the eastern borders of Iranshahr against the continuous attacks of marauding nomads. In the last two chapters of this book, we have discussed other aspects of the brilliant efforts of Iranians, i.e. the cultural and civilizational achievements of Iranians during the Sassanid period, and we have examined the value of the cultural heritage of Sassanid Iranshahr and the impact it had on the world civilization.
