Arthur Schopenhauer is an isolated thinker. His philosophy is a kind of philosophy of isolation, which is the result of personal and close contact with the works of the past. He reads the works of philosophers in their own language directly as a translator, interpreter, and commentator. Schopenhauer does not keep himself bound by what each of them says, narrates, or thinks. He, who knows literature and philosophy completely, wants to completely ignore academic interpretations. Schopenhauer, who is a suspicious person, accepts only his own view and judgment.
