Roland Barthes, who is known more as a literary critic, main effort to criticize what societies consider "natural" and reveal its conventional and formal role. This effort, however, quickly expanded the scope of its attention to literature and emphasized the freedom of the reader in reading the text. This book is the first step in a world that was explained by freely borrowing from schools such as the school of existence, Marxism and Freudism, and of course, structuralism, to reach its peak with the theory of "the death of the author" which in a sense includes the criticism of all those schools.
