Design is a term that everyone knows, but it is full of ambiguity. It has countless manifestations and does not have clear boundaries to be defined based on it. In practice, it produces a large number of artifacts, most of which are fleeting and unstable objects, and few of them have a permanent nature. Design is one of the most basic characteristics of every human thing and one of the main factors determining the quality of human life. It affects all people in every detail of every aspect of everything they do every day. So it is a very important category. It is rare to find an aspect of the physical environment that could not be effectively improved by better design. The design book examines the history and concept of design in ten sections with the titles: What is design? Historical evolution of design, usefulness and meaning, objects, communication, environments, identities, systems, and the future. The author says at the beginning of the book: "One of the strangest features of the modern world is that design has largely become trivial and unimportant. On the contrary, I want to claim that design, if it is taken seriously and used responsibly, should be a decisive basis for shaping and building human life in all its details, and this will be for the benefit of all.
