Alicia Berenson, a famous artist, does not speak after killing her husband Gabriel. Even in court, he does not say a word to defend himself. To express his opinion, he paints a self-portrait called "Alkesta". Why he named this picture "Alkesta" remains unclear for a long time. The court considers Alicia's mental condition and sends her to a psychiatric hospital. He does not communicate with anyone there either.
