The main theme of the novel is the violation of women\\\\'s rights, violence and cruelty against women in Afghanistan. Talking to many women in Kabul, listening to their heartbreaking stories, Hussein wrote \\\\"A Thousand Wonders\\\\" and dedicated it to the women of Afghanistan. The novel helps to better understand the brutal history, culture and heritage of Afghanistan, and the heroism of the people living in inhumane conditions can only be admired.
