This work is the first book of Gabriel Garcia Marquez trilogy of his biography, which is from his birth till his 28th age. This book starts with a myth travel of young Gabriel with her mother to "Arcataga" for selling the family old big house. One of the important parts of the book is when her mother tells about Gabriel's father and her irritation of leaving university in law course. The rest of the book is in the shape of journalist memories about his work and with noticing to the pages and dates he tries to keep the story of narrations. At the end of the book are pictures of the writer.

اين اثر، اولين سه گانه از مجموعه سه گانه زندگي نامه "گابريل گارسيا ماركز" به قلم خود نويسنده است كه از ابتدا تا بيست و هشت سالگي زندگي او را شامل مي شود. زيستن براي باز گفتن با سفر افسانه اي گابريل جوان به همراه مادرش به "آركاتاگا" براي فروش خانه بزرگ كلنگي خانوادگي آغاز مي شود. يكي از بخش هاي مهم كتاب لحظه اي است كه مادر اوج نارضايتي خود و پدر را از ترك تحصيل گابريل در رشته حقوق ابراز مي كند. بقيه ي متن كتاب واقعيتي در قالب خاطرات يك روزنامه نگار است، چه از لحاظ رويدادهايي كه مرتبط با كار نقل مي كند و چه به سبب دقت در صفحات و تاريخ ها كه البته گابريل مي كوشد تاثير داستاني بر روايت ها را حفظ كند. در انتهاي كتاب تصاويري از نويسنده به چاپ رسيده است.
