Isfahan has been always in attention because of its geographic position. This book in 9 chapters is about the Isfahan in Sasanian period. The first chapter is about the geographic situations of this state. The second chapter is about the historical geography of Isfahan till the end of Sasanian period. The third chapter criticises the names of "Jiy" and "Sipahan", changes of the city and changing "Jiy" to "Isfahan" according to coins and written documents. In the fourth chapter the Islamic history writers and geographers talk about the place of "Giy" in pre-Islam and in Islamic periods and with according to the results of this analysis and based on documents they imaginary rebuild the city in Sasanian era. The fifth chapter is about Isfahan villages, districts and suburbs. The sixth chapter criticises the buildings that were ruined and we just knew them with reading historical documents. The seventh chapter is about the buildings that are still steady. The eighth chapter introduces Sasanian buildings and introducing the two valuable buildings that were ruined recently. The ninth chapter gets a complete result.
