Siyyid Ziya` Al-din Tabatabayi has passed his most of his banishment period in years between the World War 1 and World War 2 in Palestine. The events of this period have two important points for Iran contemporary history. One is the role of Siyyid Ziya` in the political frame work of Palestinians activities in this period and the other is the reflex of these activities in subjects and disputes when he came back to Iran in 1941.

سيد ضياء الدين طباطبايي بخش چشمگيري از دوران تبعيد و كناره گيري خود را در سالهاي بين دو جنگ اول و دوم جهاني در فلسطين گذراند. رخدادهاي اين دوره و تجربه از نقطه نظر تاريخ معاصر ايران از دو جهت اهميت يافت. يكي از لحاظ نقش سيد ضياء الدين در چهارچوب فعاليت هاي سياسي مسلمانان فلسطين در اين دوره و ديگري نيز از نظر بازتاب اين فعاليت ها در مباحث و جدل هايي كه بعد از بازگشت وي به ايران، در سالهاي بعد از شهريور ١٣٢٠ مطرح شد.
