The present book, in the form of twenty speeches, analyzes the intellectual origins and social contexts of modern Iranian architecture from the perspective of historical sociology. The question here is that at a time in history when "modernism" and "anti-modernism" were considered the axis of social transformation in Iranian history and had cast a shadow on the intellectual contexts of Iranian society in various ways. How did "modernism" lead to the transformation of Iranian architecture? The transformation of architecture during this period was closely linked to the intellectual transformation of currents that sought to form the social and political foundations of society based on new concepts and principles. Therefore, the main purpose of this book is to examine the causes and conditions that laid the groundwork for the development of modern Iranian architecture.
