A collection of three lectures by Professor Kai Barr, Professor Asmussen, and Dr. Mary Boyce, translated by Fereydoun Vahman and published by Jami Publications, which looks at the Zoroastrian religion. Zoroastrianism is one of the ancient Iranian religions that once encompassed a large part of society, and the clergy and religious figures of that period educated many people, but with the advent of Islam, its roots were uprooted and only a minority remained believers in it. In the historical study of Iran, dealing with Zoroastrianism is inevitable, and this great religion that was introduced to the world from the land of Iran requires a broader study. The present book deals with the historical roots, customs, beliefs of believers in this religion, and the position it now holds in the world.

مجموعه سه گفتار از پروفسور کای بار، پروفسور آسموسن، دکتری مری بویس به ترجمه فریدون وهمن و چاپ انتشارات جامی می باشد که نگاهی به دین زرتشت دارد. زرتشت یکی از ادیان کهن ایرانیان است که روزگاری بخش وسیعی از جامعه را شامل می شد و روحیانیون و افراد مذهبی آن دوره عده بسیاری را تربیت می کردند اما با ظهور اسلام ریشه آن برچیده شد و تنها اقلیتی به آن معتقد ماندند. در مطالعه تاریخی ایران پرداختن به آیین زرتشت غیر قابل اجتناب است و هم چنین این دین بزرگ که از سرزمین ایران به جهان معرفی شده است نیاز به مطالعه ای گسترده تر دارد. کتاب حاضر به ریشه تاریخی، آداب و رسوم، اعتقاد مومنین به این دین و جایگاهی که اکنون در جهان داراست پرداخته است.
