"We have to talk," Lola tells her husband during breakfast. He answers that they will do so at night when he finishes his day in the taxi. Sandino is a melancholic man, who hesitates to return home because he fears that Lola, fed up with his infidelities, will leave him. He is not quite sure if he wants that to happen, just as he does not know if he likes being a taxi driver, if he is capable of loving someone, or if it is all about continuing to roll and crash, like a ball on a billiard table called Barcelona.
For seven days and six nights, Sandino wanders the streets and neighborhoods like a broken doll fleeing from itself, a predator wandering, from place to place, always at the discretion of the client, of boredom or of the opportunity to cauterize the wound in the most carnal way. And while his particular odyssey lasts, the stories of passengers, friends, and enemies mix and intertwine in his mind, a tangle of memories and ghosts of the past that draw an existential map of his life, of the life of the city, and of the characters who inhabit it. Perhaps in this way, in his escape towards nothingness, Sandino manages to free himself from his ties, from his spurious love, sand from the environment that grips him to reach a place he has never been.

Sandino es un hombre melancólico, que duda en regresar a casa porque teme que Lola, harta de sus infidelidades, lo deje. No está muy seguro de si desea que eso suceda, como tampoco sabe si le gusta ser taxista, si es capaz de querer a alguien o si todo consiste en seguir rodando y chocando, como una bola en una mesa de billar llamada Barcelona.
Durante siete días y sus seis noches, Sandino recorre las calles y los barrios como un muñeco roto que huye de sí mismo, un depredador que deambula sin rumbo fijo, de sitio a sitio, a criterio siempre del cliente, del tedio o de la ocasión de cauterizar la herida de la forma más carnal. Y mientras dura su particular odisea, en su mente se mezclan y entrelazan las historias de pasajeros, amigos y enemigos, una maraña de recuerdos y fantasmas del pasado que dibujan un mapa existencial de su vida, de la vida de la ciudad y de los personajes que la habitan. Tal vez así, en su fuga hacia la nada, Sandino logre liberarse de sus ataduras, de sus amores espurios y del entorno que lo atenaza para llegar a algún lugar en el que nunca ha estado.
