Tarīkh dar Tarāzū: Persiska (Farsi) 1402

The author begins the subject of history by asking about its usefulness and determining the scope of study and the tools used in it. While expressing the different views of historians, he explains the diversity of styles and topics of history, and for this purpose he uses the most famous historical events and famous sayings of great men. In the final chapters, the author enters into issues related to criticism and recognition of sources and discusses the angles of this matter. This work can be considered among the first works in which the author has dealt with the two main branches of the philosophy of history, namely theoretical philosophy and critical philosophy. In a part of the book, the author examines history and myth and says: In fact, mythology is so intertwined with history that even in the historical era, the lives of people like Alexander, Charlemagne, and Sultan Mahmud are sometimes shrouded in a halo of mythology in popular narratives.
