An only son pampered by parents who lead a modest life, Yves Simon spent his childhood watching these two beings love each other madly and exhaust themselves every day facing difficult ends of the month. Like the golden bank of Zurich, Contrexéville shows off its opulent villas and a little boy who already perceives the harsh conditions inflicted on the working world is initiated into courage and joy by a couple already legendary for him. But can a teenager who is suddenly caught up in the madness of the 60s, who witnesses the birth of rock, the Dylan revolution, and discovers the skirts of girls on scooters still see all the love his father has for him? Without being aware of it, he embraces the future that he will make his own with the blessing of a railway worker anchored, himself, in a universe of humility and discretion incompatible with the ardor of youth.
