پیچفورک دیزنی (۱۹۹۱) اولین کار حرف های فیلیپ ریدلی برای صحنه اگرچه در ابتدا با نقدهای منفی منتقدان از متن نمایش نامه مواجه شد به خاطر اشتیاق و استقبال پرشور مخاطبان عمدتا جوان به موفقیت بحث برانگیزی دست یافت این نمایش نامه با گذشت زمان به عنوان اثری مهم در سبک ستیزه جویانه دهه ی ۱۹۹۰ و جنبش تئاتری حساس in-yer-face در بریتانیا شناخته شد اثر حاضر یک قطعه ی رویاگون با عناصر سورئال است؛ در درجه ی اول با ترس، به ویژه ترسهای دوران کودکی سروکار دارد رویاها و داستانها نیز در آن مورد بررسی قرار میگیرند و در واقع کل نمایش نامه را میتوان به یک رویا تعبیر کرد. ریدلی در سال ۲۰۱۶ درباره ی گستره ی تفسیری این نمایش نامه اظهار کرد: هر بار که گروهی آن را بازتولید کند میتواند معنای متفاوتی به خود بگیرد. در حال حاضر اجرایی از آن در کانادا بر روی صحنه است که بنا به شرایط اجتماعی ،فعلی مسئله ی تروریسم و ارعاب را پوشش میدهد ترس از کنار گذاشتن ترس و ترس از تغییر چند سال پیش اجرایی از آن به موضوع ترس ،جسمی ترس از نزدیکی و لمس شدن پرداخته بود...
