There have been several publications in the field of introducing Qajar period buildings, most of which focus on the buildings of the royal citadel and some of the palaces around Tehran. Over time, many of these places have undergone major changes and some have disappeared. These reasons made the author introduce the palaces in Tehran and its surrounding areas in a single work. The first edition of "Qajar palaces over time" discussed the history, location of the building, and how it was built and decorated, including pictures and plans of royal buildings. Still, in the new edition, an attempt was made to introduce other unknown palaces of the Qajar period located in other cities. Iran should be considered. Many of these buildings have been destroyed and forgotten. In this research, after researching these places, their history has been added to make the contents as complete as possible, and the plans and photos are more complete and accurate than the first edition.

تألیفات متعددی در حوزه معرفی بناهای دوره قاجار صورت گرفته که در بیشتر آن ها ساختمان های ارگ سلطنتی و برخی از کاخ های اطراف تهران مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. با گذر زمان بسیاری از این اماکن دچار تغییرات اساسی شده و برخی از بین رفته اند. این دلایل باعث شد نگارنده به معرفی کاخ های واقع در تهران و نقاط پیرامون آن در یک اثر واحد بپردازد. در چاپ نخست «کاخ های قاجاریه در گذر زمان» به تاریخچه، محل بنا، چگونگی احداث و تزئینات به انضمام تصاویر و پلان های عمارات سلطنتی پرداخته است اما در چاپ جدید سعی بر آن شد معرفی سایر کاخ های گمنام دوره قاجار واقع در سایر شهر های ایران مد نظر قرار گیرد. بسیاری از این عمارات تخریب شده و از یادها رفته اند. در پژوهش حاضر پس از تحقیق در خصوص این اماکن تاریخچه آن ها جهت هر چه کامل تر شدن مطالب گذشته آمده و پلان ها و عکس ها کامل تر و دقیق تر از چاپ اول به مطالب ضمیمه شده است.
