This collection includes the articles of the second international human rights conference of Mofid University, which was held in Qom in May 2012 under the title "Theoretical Foundations of Human Rights". This collection contains 57 articles that are categorized into the following three general topics:
1. Philosophical foundations of human rights
2. Human rights and religion
3. Human rights, universality, and cultural diversity
Of the above 57 articles, 30 articles were originally in English, which were translated and published in Persian.
It should be noted that the above conference was held with the cooperation of the United Nations Delegation in Iran, the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, and the International Center for Dialogue of Civilizations.

ین مجموعه شامل مقالات دومین همایش بین‌المللی حقوق بشر دانشگاه مفید است که با عنوان «مبانی نظری حقوق بشر» در اردیبهشت ماه سال 1382 در قم برگزار شد. این مجموعه حاوی 57 مقاله می باشد که در سه موضوع کلی زیر دسته‌بندی شده‌اند:
1. مبانی فلسفی حقوق بشر
2. حقوق بشر و دین
3. حقوق بشر، جهان شمولی و تنوع فرهنگی
از 57 مقاله فوق 30 مقاله در اصل به زبان انگلیسی بوده است که به فارسی ترجمه و منتشر شده است .
لازم به ذکر است همایش فوق با همکاری نمایندگی سازمان ملل در ایران، وزارت علوم، تحقیقات و فناوری و مرکز بین‌المللی گفتگوی تمدن‌ها برگزار شد.
