In 1911, a young American accountant named Morgan Schuster went with his family to a country called "Persia" outside of Iran at that time. He went to sort out the chaotic financial affairs of this country. Less than eight months later, as a result of Russian and British pressure, he was forced to make a decision that affected not only his mission but the fate of the country he was trying to help.
