Early in the morning in Central Park, Alice and Gabriel wake up on a bench, locked and handcuffed to each other. They cannot remember that they have ever met. That evening Alice was at home in Paris with her friend and Gabriel was playing the piano in a jazz bar in Dublin. How did they end up in this situation? Whose blood is on Alice's blouse? Is there a cartridge missing from her cloth weapon? Alice and Gabriel have no choice but to seek answers from the Simlamans so they can return to their everyday lives, but they are not prepared for the truth to turn their lives upside down.
