"The Familiar Story" is a collection of six short stories. «قصه آشنا»مجموعه شش داستان کوتاه است.در اين داستان ها و سه داستان از کتاب «ديدار»نويسنده با چيرگي و قدرت قلم جادويي خود اندوه و فقر مردم عادي را درونمايه اصلي اثرش قرار داده است.در اين داستان ها شيوه واقع گرايي را با شيوه بيان تاثيرات حسي خود به هم آميخته است و در نتيجه در بيان روابط اجتماعي آدم ها گام بلندي را با نوشتن اين اثر برداشته است.
