For me, I am in the scope of both the theater and university worlds. It is a blessing that I see that theater people and academics speak the same language. This was not the case fifty years ago. Of course, both worlds still have their extreme views. Conceptual Theater (where the director of a Shakespearean play tells the actors what the performance is supposed to mean before the group discovers what the play is "actually" saying)

برای من که، در گستره ی هر دو دنیای تئاتر و دانشگاه قرار دارم. موهبتی است که میبینم اینک اهالی تئاتر و دانشگاهیان، بیشتر به یک زبان سخن میگویند؛ پنجاه سال پیش چنین نبود. البته هر دو دنیا هنوز دیدگاه های افراطیشان را دارند. تئاتر مفهوم محور (که در آن کارگردان نمایش نامه ای از شکسپیر، پیش از آن که گروه کشف کند نمایش نامه «در عمل» چه میگوید، برای بازیگران بیان میکند که اجرا چه معنایی قرار است داشته باشد)
