Risālah-yi Haftād Īzad Persiska (Farsi) 2024

“Risāleh-ye Haftād Izad (The Treatise of Seventy Yazatas)” is a scholarly study of Zoroastrian yazatas and angels in Iranian and Islamic traditions, examining the position and characteristics of these spiritual beings within religious and cultural worldviews.

In this work, yazatas and angels are presented as manifestations of light, goodness, hope, and victory; each representing a particular aspect of creation and a human virtue. The author explores how some yazatas and angels are associated with natural elements and phenomena, appearing as guardians and protectors of the sky, earth, water, plants, and animals.

Through a cultural and research-based approach, the book examines the relationship between human beings, nature, and spiritual forces, showing how, within this worldview, humanity’s movement toward truth and goodness is connected with recognizing and engaging with these luminous manifestations of creation.

Mehrak Ali Saboonchi is a researcher of Iranian culture and holds a PhD in Ancient Cultures and Languages from the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies. His works and studies focus on Iranian culture, mythology, and traditional beliefs.
