“The Complete Shahnameh of Ferdowsi in Prose” is a fluent and simplified prose adaptation of Hakim Abol-Qasem Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, created to make this monumental work more accessible to contemporary readers. As one of the most significant literary and cultural works of the Persian language, the Shahnameh is a vast collection of mythical, heroic, and historical narratives that recount the stories of Iranian kings, warriors, and legendary figures such as Rostam, Zal, Siavash, and Kay Khosrow.

In this work, Meysam Sarabi preserves the original structure and content of the Shahnameh while transforming Ferdowsi’s complex poetic narratives into clear and readable prose. This adaptation allows readers to engage more easily with the epic’s stories, characters, and human themes without the linguistic and literary challenges of the original verse form.
