Man Mahdī Āz̲ar Yazdī hastam Persiska (Farsi) 2022

In this novel, Hossein-Ali and Kuchek Ali, two teenagers, travel to Tehran during the 1950s. Their journey leads them through various places, including the Sangtarash Inn, the National Consultative Assembly, a boarding school, and the office of the Chehreh-Namā magazine. Along the way, they encounter a wide range of people, from truck drivers and members of parliament to the Shah himself.

For a period, the two boys become involved in printing various books under pseudonyms, an act that eventually attracts the attention of the police and leads to their arrest. At this critical moment, Mehdi Azar-Yazdi, the renowned writer of children’s and young adult literature, steps forward to guarantee their release, setting the stage for the rest of the story.
