Monireh, the central character of the novel, struggles to come to terms with the course of her life. She is a lonely outsider, burdened by a mind preoccupied with complex questions, constantly challenging the narrator. A young woman from a provincial town, she finds herself in a Tehran that refuses to acknowledge her existence. It is a crowded and unforgiving city that, in the guise of a boutique owner, demands money she does not have. With little time left to obtain it, Monireh is forced to confront the consequences of her circumstances.

منیره، شخصیت مرکزی رمان «فروچاله» نمیتواند بهراحتی با روند زندگی کنار بیاید. او دختری است تنها و غریب با ذهنی درگیر مسایل بهنسبت پیچیده که همواره راوی داستان را به چالش میکشد. دختری شهرستانی در تهرانی که وجود او را بهرسمیت نمیشناسد. تهران شلوغ و کمرحمی که در قامت صاحب بوتیک پولش را میخواهد و منیره پول ندارد و فرصتش برای بهدستآوردن آن، چندان زیاد نیست.
