Mehtab is on the threshold of forty years old and this issue puts him in the trap of comparing his daily life with others. In this challenge, he imagines himself in the place of some women around him and lives their days. At the same time, some independent stories about women's concerns also go along with the main storyline. However, the narrator of the story is a generalist who sometimes goes out of the usual framework joins the reader in suspense, and even criticizes the author and the characters.

مهتاب در آستانۀ چهلسالگی است و همین موضوع، او را در تلۀ مقایسۀ روزمرگیهایش با دیگران میاندازد. در این چالش، او خود را جای بعضی زنهای اطرافش تصور و چند روزشان را زندگی میکند. همزمان چند داستان مستقل از دغدغههای زنانه نیز با خط داستانی اصلی پیش میرود. راوی داستان اما دانای کلی است که گهگاهی از چهارچوبهای معمول خارج و در تعلیقها با خواننده همراه میشود و حتی نویسنده و شخصیتها را هم نقد میکند.
