This novel is about the life of a young man who is in a kind of identity crisis. He does not know who and where he is, and more importantly, why he is there. At some point, he commits suicide and ruins the rest of his life thinking about this mistake. He didn't know why he was alive and committed suicide, and after this unsuccessful suicide, whatever he thinks, he doesn't know why he did that. The first novel of "Araz Barsaghian" focuses on the absurdity and disillusionment of the young generation of Iran today.

این رمان ماجرای زندگی جوانی ست که در نوعی بحران هویت به سر می برد. او نمی داند کیست و کجاست و مهم تر این که چرا هست. در برهه ای دست به خودکشی می زند و مابقی زندگی اش را نیز به فکر کردن به این اشتباه تباه می کند. او نمی دانسته چرا زنده است و دست به خودکشی زده و بعد از این خودکشی ناموفق هر چه فکر می کند نمی داند چرا چنین کرده. نخستین رمان «آراز بارسقیان» تمرکزی ست روی پوچی و سرخوردگی نسل جوان ایران امروز.
