A first-hand account of the days of the fall of Kabul in March 1400, an account from inside a German aid agency in Kabul with its Afghan staff and Western managers; The story of Mehdi, a cleaner who has a collection of exploded body parts in his house, pieces he has looted from the streets of Dasht-e Barchi, and wants to write down what he has seen all these days.
