Iran's bio collection aims to increase the knowledge of children and teenagers about Iran's animals and ecosystems. They should find more motivation to preserve this natural heritage. Hyrcanian forests are one of the most valuable ecosystems in Iran. The Hyrcanian forests of northern Iran are 25 to 50 million years old. The plant and animal species of this forest have passed the historical ice age. The importance of the Hyrkan forests is enough that in 2018, after the Lut Plain, it became the second national natural monument of Iran that has been registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

مجموعه زیست‌ ایران بر آن است تا بر آگاهی کودکان و نوجوانان درباره‌ی جانوران و بوم سازگان ایران بیفزاید. باید که برای حفظ این میراث طبیعی انگیزه‌ی بیشتری پیدا کنند. جنگل‌های هیرکانی یکی از ارزشمندترین اکوسیستم‌های ایران است. قدمت جنگل‌های هیرکانی شمال ایران به 25 تا 50 میلیون سال می‌رسد. گونه‌های گیاهی و جانوری این جنگل، عصر تاریخی یخبندان را پشت سرگذاشته‌اند. در اهمیت جنگل‌های هیرکانی همین بس که در سال 1398، بعد از دشت لوت، دومین اثر طبیعی ملی ایران است که در فهرست میراث جهانی یونسکو به ثبت رسیده است.
