The Thibaut Family is a full-length novel by Roger Martin Dugar (1881-1958), a French author and Nobel laureate in literature. On the one hand, this novel examines the events in Europe in the early years of the twentieth century and the years of World War I, and on the other hand, it describes the events of the wealthy and educated French family, namely the Thibaut family. The youngest child of this family, Jacques Thibaut, with his rebellious and indomitable spirit, seeks his destiny in the world around him and leaves the family. In interacting with his socialist ideas, he contrasts happiness and an ideal life with someone he loves.

خانواده تیبو (۴ جلدی)" اثر روژه مارتن دو گار، از سویی به بررسی وقایع اروپا در سال های ابتدایی قرن بیستم و سال های جنگ اول جهانی می پردازد و از سویی دیگر همگام با آن شرح وقایع خانواده ثروتمند و فرهیخته فرانسوی یعنی خانواده تیبو را توصیف می کند. فرزند کوچک این خانواده، ژاک تیبو با روح سرکش و رام نشدنی اش سرنوشت خود را در دنیای پیرامونش می جوید و خانواده را ترک می گوید. او در تعامل با اندیشه های سوسیالیستی اش به تضاد با خوشبختی و زندگی ایدئال در کنار کسی که دوستش دارد می رسد. عده ای از هواخواهان رمان نویسی کلاسیک این رمان را بزرگترین رمان قرن بیستم می دانند. "خانواده تیبو (۴ جلدی)" در اوایل دهه ۶۰ خورشیدی توسط ابوالحسن نجفی به فارسی برگردان شده است.
