Hamidreza Sadr saw film criticism as a text that should be transformed into a work of art along with the film. His best writings should be seen as essays about cinema. Essays in which the personal traces of the narrator can be found. Sometimes aspects of the writer's life can be seen in these texts. The writer invites the reader to watch and re-watch the movies and offers a way to overcome the world of movies, the world of the director, or the world of the actor. Where it is necessary, the moments he brings from himself, his life, and his eternal passion into the text, a text resulting from the creative wandering of a writer who does not reflect the usual scope of film criticism and is looking for a way to tie his life to a certain film in a way that we believe. He saw the movie in a different way, as if that movie, that moment of the game, that dialogue that remained in the corner of his mind, was an important part of his life.

حمیدرضا صدر نقد فیلم را به چشم متنی می‌دید كه باید هم‌پای فیلم به اثری هنری تبدیل شود.بهترین نوشته‌هایش را باید به چشم جستارهایی درباره سینما دید. جستارهایی كه ردپای شخصی راوی در آن پیداست. در این متن‌ها گاهی جنبه‌هایی از زندگی نویسنده هم به چشم می‌آید.نویسنده خواننده‌اش را به دیدن،به دوباره دیدن فیلم‌ها،دعوت می‌كند و راهی پیش رویش می‌گذارد كه پیشنهادی برای سرآوردن از دنیای فیلم،یا دنیا كارگردان،یا دنیای بازیگر است. آن‌جا كه لازم است لحظه‌هایی كه از خودش، زندگی‌اش و آن شوق همیشگی‌اش را وارد متن می‌كند، متنی حاصل پرسه‌زنی خلاقانه‌ نویسنده‌ای كه محدوده متداول نقد فیلم را برنمی‌تابد و به جست‌وجوی راهی برمی‌آید تا زندگی اش را به گونه‌ای به فیلمی خاص گره بزند كه باور كنیم او فیلم را به چشم دیگری دیده، انگار آن فیلم،آن لحظه بازی، آن دیالوگی كه گوشه‌ی ذهنش مانده،بخش مهمی از زندگی‌اش بوده است.
